Karoline Buys


Karoline Buys is the International Program Coordinator for Children of the Earth, an non-governmental organization that inspires and unites young people world-wide to create a peaceful and sustainable world through personal and social transformation. She herself was born in Colombia, South America and now currently lives in Munich, Germany. Part of her work is to encourage young people to expand their consciousness, as well as become young peace builders in their own
respective countries.

She was a Guest Speaker at the Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne, Australia 2009, as part of the “Children of the Earth” Youth Panel, presenting on the importance of Youth Spirituality and active Peace work.

In May 2010, Karoline also participated at “The Symphony of Peace Prayers”, Mount Fuji, Japan, organized by “Byakko Shinko Kai”, where Religious leaders from many traditions were invited to give Peace Prayers, which were recited by thousands of people in different languages. Karoline also had the opportunity to give a Presentation at the Olympic centre in Tokyo on the importance of Forgiveness as the first step towards world peace.

In September 2010, she will be a representative for the Children of the Earth at the International Day of Peace celebration at the United Nations, New York, along with 40 high school students from throughout the USA.
