Agapi Stassinopoulos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. At age 18, she entered the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.

She moved to the United States to do film and television, and later attended the University of Santa Monica where she completed her Master’s in Psychology.

Doing the preparatory research with her sister Arianna Huffington on a book about the Gods and Goddesses of Greece ignited Agapi’s love for the gods and a passion to do more work on the subject.

She then developed her own work around the Goddesses and was asked to present it at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles around the antiquities. Subsequently, she was asked to write the book on the subject called Conversations with the Goddesses (Stewart, Tabori & Chang), which had four printings. Her presentation has been seen by audiences at the Getty Center in Los Angeles, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, the Soho Rep in New York City, and many conferences, colleges and universities around the world. Her presentation of the goddesses was also produced by PBS and has aired nationwide. She recently co-produced and co-hosted a documentary shot in Greece called “Quest for the Gods” which will aired in April, 2010 as a PBS special.

Agapi has spoken at various international events, including the Women’s Global Conference in Milan, the American Express Women & Business Conference in Salt Lake City, as well as made TV appearances on CNN’s “Business Unusual,” among others. She has also spoken about health and well-being for The Spirit of Women organization, which represents hundreds of hospitals around the country.

Her second book Gods and Goddesses in Love: Making the Myth a Reality for You, was published in August of 2004 by Pocket Books of Simon and Schuster and has been translated into seven languages. With her insightful understanding, her passion and her humor, she stirs our imagination, enriching our understanding of ourselves and each other.

Currently, Agapi is working on her third book for Hay House, Unbinding Your Heart: How to Heal the World One Heart at a Time, to be released in 2012.

Agapi lectures and conducts seminars worldwide for both men and women, empowering them to become more connected to their individual gifts. She empowers individuals to awaken their ability to know that they are co-creators and access their higher potential.
