Arlene Inouye


At an early age, Arlene Inouye felt called to make a difference. This has led to 35 years in public education, including a wide spectrum of teaching experience and community organizing. Ms Inouye is a Speech and Language Specialist, Human Relations Commissioner, Program Coordinator, Curriculum Writer, Teacher’s Union and School Reform Activist and Parent Education Teacher. The local organization that she founded and coordinates, Coalition for Alternatives to Militarism in our Schools (CAMS), is a national model that provides information to minors to make an informed decision regarding military enlistment and promotes alternatives. She also serves on national boards and is a national and international speaker.
