Let’s introduce Miss Cui Cui by explaining where she got a name like “Cui Cui”(kwee kwee).

As a child her father nick named her his “Little Cui Cui”.

In researching her family history found out that the name

Cuicani means: “Singer” in a Nahuatl dialect.

Which is one of the native languages of central Mexico

still in use today.

She holds a degree in Ethnic Studies/Art.

Cuicani is a vocalist, composer of song/poetry, actress,

karaoke hostess, DJ and vocal coach.

Her vocal style is a combination of traditional and contemporary American and Latin/Mexican styles.

She sings in both the English and Spanish languages and

Cui Cui also sings in other languages and dialects as they come.
Her repertoires of music include:

Pop, standards, jazz, latin jazz, R&B, old school, ballads,

Blues, rock, salsa, cumbia, mariachi, polka, bolero,

music for soul soothing/meditation and social awareness.

Cui Cui currently performs with:

Cuicani’s Vibe (Her group) Billy Mitchell, jazz pianist

The World Music project, Ron Alan and the Swing Kings

She is also a free lance performing artist.

Cuicani has a CD which is a compilation of her vocal sty lings entitled, “Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow”.

A second recording project is in motion.

Thee Midniters, Billy Mitchell, Luis Valdez, Ruben Blades, Banda Brothers & many more.

Has toured in Europe through Bosnia, Kosovo and Macedonia.

Film, video, studio, musical theater, street theater, educational,

Performance art, radio-DJ, MC, modeling, Karaoke , DJ, Aztec dance/ceremonial indigenous events.

She is an advocate in the preservation of our planet mother earth and related spiritual activities to promote healing & awareness. (Light worker).
