  • Here is an organizational template for Local Chapter Networks for Harmonic Humanity that you could enact verbatim.

    “We’d also love to have regular updates from someone in your team, including when your next meeting is scheduled (if you haven’t done this already). The updates could be as simple as an email or as elaborate as having someone take minutes and share. We would like to gather the following information from each focus team. Some of the teams are in need of more members. Some volunteers may find that they would serve a different team better than their current team. Sending us the following information, will aid us in procuring more volunteers for the specific teams in need.

    2. Top three or four priorities

    3. Team leader’s name(s)

    Members of the council will be asking to schedule a time with focus team leaders to get an update. This will probably be a quarterly occurrence.

    We are so thankful for everything you do. Please, if you have any questions, concerns or ideas, please share! We are only interested in making this organization and our volunteer efforts the best it can possibly be.

    Below, are the descriptions for each focus team. Feel free to adjust these general descriptive statements. Please review this original list of focus team membership. If your membership has changed and/or if you have changed the general description of your focus team, please let Paul or us know so we can update the records.

    Investigate and implement a plan to address funding, fundraising and/or membership to provide and build resources for the local chapter network.

    Training and Development Focus Team
    Research, create and provide access to videos, training materials and games. Introduce and create new material and group activities/exercises for use by members of local groups and chapters. Develop copyright and related policies as well as educational programs for groups and chapters.

    Human Resources and Organizational Development Focus Team
    Explore HD/OD needs of the organization (HR Handbook, Policies and Procedures, Conflict Resolution Procedures, Developing/Recruiting International/National/Regional positions). Identify effective ways to manage organizational growth and the international rollout of the LCN.

    Volunteer Match Program Focus Team
    Establish a successful program to match volunteers with the needs of the LCN and Harmonic Humanity. Develop meaningful opportunities for volunteers who wish to contribute their time, energy and resources to Harmonic Humanity. Consider ways to identify, recruit, train, manage, and retain an effective network of volunteers.

    Implement internal communications mechanisms for the LCN. Organize systems to utilize social networking. Disseminate LCN news (web content, social network sites, LCN page for website, etc.).

    Develop media materials for shared use among local chapter coordinators. Develop promotional materials and resources for Regional Coordinators. Write press releases, web content, newsletter and news content.
