Presentation Topic: Powerful Words Make Powerful Leaders

You want to be a leader, but you are reserved or quiet or don’t quite know how to get your passion across to the people whom you hope to inspire to follow you. Join this powerful session to learn how to enhance or develop your ability to communicate powerfully. This is not an NLP course, nor is it about learning how to manipulate people with your words. Instead, this is an experiential, hands-on seminar in which you will learn how to translate your passion into powerful words, how to get your message out there, and how to communicate a powerful message with a powerful style.

BIO: Kaci Christian has been a storyteller and a connector since she was a young child. She has always loved talking with people and exploring their stories. It’s a natural gift for her to meet people, learn about their lives and connect them with information, resources or other people. In her family, giving back is a way of life. At a young age, she learned the value in volunteering from her parents. Kaci has donated thousands of hours and raised more than $100,000 for numerous charitable and civic organizations and has received in return much more than she has ever given.

After completing her MBA, Kaci worked in the corporate sector for several years. A skilled lecturer, she also served as an adjunct professor in the graduate school of business at the University of Houston (Clear Lake campus). Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to explore several fields including marketing and public relations before she segued into broadcasting. For the past twelve years, she has been a local television news anchor/reporter seen in homes throughout the United States. Most recently she was recruited to Oklahoma to be the lead investigative reporter in the Solving Problems division of the local FOX television affiliate in Tulsa where she received several awards for her storytelling and investigative reporting. Prior to her tenure in television, Kaci’s newscasts and traffic reports were heard by millions on radio stations serving the southern California area including KFI 640 AM (Clear Channel), KFWB 980 AM (CBS News Radio), KNX 1070 AM (CBS News Radio) and KRLA 870 AM (Salem Communications). She is a longtime member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA) performers’ unions.

As a broadcast journalist, Kaci has spent a significant amount of her personal time in public service, hosting/emceeing events, moderating panel discussions, speaking or participating as a panelist, reading to children and participating in charity walks or fundraisers. She also serves as an advocate for underrepresented or voiceless populations including wildlife, animals, the environment, children and the elderly.

Kaci has written numerous articles published in newspapers, magazines and online. She is the author of a soon-to-be released memoir chronicling her extraordinary journey traveling on her own throughout Nepal for nearly three months in late 2009. In 2010, she founded The WE Conference™, an organization developed to produce events to inspire, support & promote women’s empowerment (WE). The inaugural conference is a one-day symposium event scheduled for Saturday, October 1, 2011 in Irvine, California. At Leaders Causing Leaders, she’ll be sharing her experiences and insights on Removing the Masks: Finding Abundance through Authenticity. www.theWE conference.comShe’s confident, she’s competent and she’s committed to making a difference.
